Candid Films is a screen production company based in Sydney, Australia. 

 

We specialise in screen projects that convey real human experience openly and honestly, producing authentic narratives embedded in universally relatable themes.  We engage audiences by inspiring them, allowing them to recognise themselves or draw inspiration from the experience of others.  

We do this across Film, TV and Branded Content.

Candid was created by Jo Austin, an independent screen producer and production manager with a background in factual TV and a decade of experience working with major brands. Having won Cannes Lion, Spikes Asia and Effie awards, Candid is also now known for it's entertainment projects having developed it's own broadcast and film productions over the years. Jo's knowledge of the film industry and expertise in digital and social media strategy has meant our projects span all platforms and durations.

We service anyone looking to tell authentic people stories, and are currently in development on a slate of original based on true story scripted drama and feature documentary projects.
